The Tatarna Bridge (Γέφυρα Τατάρνας, Gefyra/Gefira Tatarnas) is a bridge over the Acheloos with a connection with Valtos and another with Evrytania. The bridge was first built in the 17th century from the builders of the area. The name Tatarna comes form a nearby monastery. Next to the bridge is was the largest spring of the Achelous, the Mardacha (Μαρδάχα). During the summertime, the water flows from mount Pindus. The bridge today is in the middle of the lake named Kremasta, after the construction of the dam with the same name in the 1960s. In the place has a synchronized bridge which was planned by Aristarchos Oikonomou and for its work of art received international awards related to its structure. The GR-38 (Agrinio - Karpenisi - Lamia) runs over the bridge.
