Sigouni (Σιγούνι) Achaia

Sigouni or Ano Lefki, is a mountainous village in the Prefecture of Achaia. It is built at an altitude of 1,100 meters on the slopes of the Aroania Mountains and is one of the most mountainous settlements in Achaia. Administratively, it is the seat of the homonymous Local Community, to which the settlement of Lefki also belongs, as part of the enlarged Municipality of Kalavryta, according to the administrative division of the Kallikratis Program in force in Greece since 2011. Before the implementation of the administrative reform of "Kapodistrias", it was an independent Community, while subsequently it became a Municipal District of the "Kapodistrian" Municipality of Kalavryta. Its population according to the 2011 census is 79 inhabitants[1].
