Platanakos (Πλατανάκος) Karditsa
Platanakos is a very small settlement next to and southwest of Anthochori[1] in Thessaly and the Regional Unit of Karditsa. It is built on the northern slopes of Mount Kazarma at an altitude of 860 meters.[2] It is approximately 31 km west of Karditsa and 12 km south of Mouzaki (the seat of the municipality). It is mentioned as a separate settlement for the first time in 1961 as Paliosklataina, being registered in the community of Anthochori, and in 1962 in the Government Gazette 145A - 13/09/1962, being renamed Platanakos.[3]
According to the "Kallikratis" Program, together with Anthochori and Anoixiatiko, they constitute the community of Anthochori[4] which falls under the municipal unit of Mouzaki of the Municipality of Mouzaki, while according to the 2011 census, 1 resident was registered.[5]
