Petrovouni is a small mountainous settlement in the Prefecture of Achaia, part of the Local Community of Kounina, and according to the "Kallikratis Program" since 1/1/2011 belongs to the Municipality of Aigialeia[2][3].

Administrative development

This is a relatively recent settlement as it was recognized as such on 05/04/1981, when it was subordinated to the then Community of Kounina[2][4]. During the period 1997-2010, based on the "Kapodistrias Plan", it belonged to the former Municipality of Aigio as part of the former Municipal District of Kounina[2][3][4][5].
