Parkio (Παρκιό) Evrytania
Parkio is a semi-mountainous village of Central Greece in the Regional Unit of Evrytania[2].
Geography - History
Parkio is located towards the western border with the Regional Unit of Aitoloakarnania, on the western banks of the Tavropos River and at an altitude of 350 meters. It is 12 km. S.-SE. from Kerasochori (seat of the municipality) and 27 km. W.-NW. from Karpenisi. It is considered one of the settlements of neighboring Marathia (W.) and as a separate settlement it is mentioned for the first time in 1971, being registered in the then community of Marathia. According to the Kallikratis plan, together with Marathia, Kato Marathia and Amiriani, they form the local community of Marathia, which belongs to the municipal unit of Frangkista of the Municipality of Agrafa and according to the 2011 census has a population of 11 inhabitants.[3]
