Panagitsa is a settlement in Central Greece and the Regional Unit of Fthiotida.[1][2]
General information
Panagitsa is located between the Boeotian Kifissos and the mountain Palioaelia at an altitude of 240 meters[1][3] and a suburb of Elateia, from which it is 3 km. northwest. The village is home to the church of Panagia and the square with a picturesque bridge. It is characterized by low houses with well-kept courtyards and narrow streets, while the main occupation of its residents is the cultivation of agricultural lands.[2]
The village has a population of 226 residents, according to the 2011 Census.[4] It was formerly called Soule Bey (the place belongs to Bey).[5]
