Panagia is a village in Thasos. [1] It is located in the northwest of the island, east of Mount Ypsari (1,204 m.) At an altitude of 300 m. The village is a popular tourist spot due to its proximity to Potamia and the seaside resort of Skala Potamia and Skala Panagia. [2] Tourist attractions include traditional village buildings and fountains from the freshwater stream with its spring at Mount Ypsario that crosses the village. [3] The village also has a holiday area, called Chrysi Ammoudia or Skala Panagia (formerly Avlakia) where the village port was several years ago, in the area of Kalyves. Speed has now been developed with hotel units, restaurants, pizzerias, Water Sports, Beach Bar, rental cars (as well as machines), etc. Finally, it has municipal camping.
