Niselloudi (Νησελλούδι) Imathia
Niselloudi[1] or Niseloudi[2] is a settlement in Central Macedonia in the Regional Unit of Imathia.
Geographical - Historical information
Niselloudi is located near the border with the Regional Unit of Pieria, in the plain of Aliakmonas and on the northern banks of the river at an altitude of 10 meters.[1] It is approximately 7 km. S.-SE. from Alexandreia (seat of the municipality), 28 km. E.-NE. from Veroia and 49 km. W.-SW. from Thessaloniki while the Egnatia Motorway passes south of the village. The village is historically included in the villages of the Roumlouki region.[3]
It is officially reported, after the Balkan Wars and the liberation of Macedonia, in 1918 to have been annexed to the then community of Alabouros.[2] According to the "Kallikratis" Program and its amendment by Kleisthenis I, together with Prasinada and Kydonia, it constitutes the community of Prasinada[4] which falls under the municipal unit of Platy of the Municipality of Alexandreia, while according to the 2011 census, 281 residents were registered.[5]
