Moni Makariotissis (Μονή Μακαριωτίσσης) Voiotia
The Monastery of Makariotissa is an Orthodox Christian monastery in the area of Voiotia. It is located on the western slopes of Elikonas, built at an altitude of about 700 meters above the village of Dombraina. Access is from Dombraina by a multi-speed road.
The date of establishment of the monastery is unknown. During the occupation, the church of the monastery was burnt down and important documents and valuable books were destroyed. The monastery was abandoned but in 1989 monks returned who managed to restore the church.
