Mikrochori (Μικροχώρι) Kavala
Mikrochori is a lowland village of Kavala at an altitude of 55 meters[1].
Geography - History
Mikrochori is located northwest of the city of Kavala at a distance of 10 km. and south of Philippi at 28.5 km.[2]. The village is built west of the Drama - Kavala national road, between Polystylo (N.-NW.), Dato (NW.) and Amygdaleona (W.-NW.). It was recognized as a settlement in 1961 and was annexed to the then community of Polystylo[3]. According to the Kallikratis program, together with Polystylo and Dato, they form the local community of Polystylo, which belongs to the municipal unit of Philippi of the municipality of Kavala and according to the 2011 census has a population of 55 residents[4].
