Makra Logka (Μακρά Λογκά) Aitoloakarnania

Makra Logka or Makra Longa is a mountain village in the Regional Unit of Aitoloakarnania at an altitude of 800 meters [1].

Geography - History

Makra Logka is located on the border with the Regional Unit of Evritania and north of Lake Trichonida. It is 25.5 km northwest of Agrinio and 12 km NW. from Thermo. The old name of the village is Makria Logga and so it is officially mentioned in 1940 to be recorded in the then community Spartia. In 1962 the name was changed to Long Loga. According to the Kallikratis program, together with Spartias, Stekoula and Strigania, they constitute the local community of Spartia, which belongs to the municipal unit of Paravola in the municipality of Agrinio and according to the 2011 census has a population of 26 inhabitants [3].
