Lipiota (Λιπιότα) Trikala
Lipiota is a very small settlement in Thessaly and the Trikala Regional Unit.[1]
General information
Lipiota is located on the slopes of Koziakas at an altitude of 980 meters[2], southeast of the Pertouli ski resort, while to its southeast is Elati, of which it is considered a settlement[3]. It is approximately 36 km. W.-S.W. from Trikala and 16 km. N.W. from Pyli (seat of the municipality). It is officially mentioned as a separate settlement for the first time in 1981, being registered in the community of Elati.[4] According to the Kallikratis program, together with Agios Georgios, Vlacha, Elati, Vlataneou and Xylochori they form the community of Elati[5] which falls under the Municipal Unit of Aithekon of the Municipality of Pyli and according to the 2011 census 3 residents were registered[6].
