Administrative changes

In 1940, in the census, the settlement was recognized and annexed to the community of Koronos. [9] [2]
In 1997, with the implementation of the Kapodistrias program (law 2539/97), the community of Koronos was abolished and the settlement was annexed to the newly established municipality of Drymalia, based in the settlement of Chalkeio. [10] Specifically, with the Kapodistrias program, it belonged to the Municipal Department of Koronos, the Municipality of Drymalia, the prefecture of Cyclades, to the geographical department of the Aegean Islands. [8]
In 2010, with the implementation of the Kallikratis program (law 3852/2010), the municipality of Drymalia was abolished and the settlement was annexed to the newly established municipality of Naxos & Small Cyclades. [11]

Today, after the last change of 2010 (Kallikratis program), it constitutes together with the settlements Argokiliotissa (26 k.), Atsipapi (15 k.) And Koronos (526 k.) The Local Community of Koronos (647 k.). The so-called Koronou belongs to the municipal unit of Drymalia, the municipality of Naxos and the Small Cyclades, the regional unit of Naxos (the former prefecture of Cyclades), in the region of South Aegean.
