Leventochori (Λεβεντοχώρι) Kilkis
Leventochori is a village in the prefecture of Kilkis, which belongs to the municipal district of Messianos of the municipality of Kilkis. It took its name from its previous name, Asikli, which means "Leventiko". From there the name Leventochori later came. It formerly belonged to the community of Messianos. It is located at an average altitude of 160 meters above sea level, 6 kilometers southwest of the city of Kilkis. The village of Leventochori in the last census of 2001 had 266 residents. Its residents are refugees from the village of Neon Haramba in the Tsalka region of Georgia as well as a few from other areas of the Caucasus, Eastern Thrace and some families from Sarakatsana. The residents are engaged in agricultural and livestock farming. The village has a church dedicated to Saints Constantine and Helen, while the primary school has been closed for the last few years. There is only one farmer in Leventochori.
The Leventochori Grove is a popular place for cooling off.
