Leptokarya (Λεπτοκαρυά) Trikala
Leptokarya is a settlement in Thessaly and the Trikala Regional Unit.[1]
General information
Leptokarya is located east of Mount Hatzi at an altitude of 800 meters.[1] It is approximately 69 km. W.-SW. from Trikala, 49 km. W. from Pyli (seat of the municipality) and 3 km. SE. from Moschofyto of which it is considered a settlement. It is officially reported as a separate settlement for the first time in 1961 to be enumerated in the community of Moschofyto.[2] According to the Kallikratis program, together with Moschofyto, Platanakia and Orini form the community of Moschofyto[3] which falls under the Municipal Unit of Pindea of the Municipality of Pyli and according to the 2011 census, 8 residents were enumerated[4].
