It belongs to the Municipality of Northern Tzoumerka while until 2010 it belonged administratively to the Municipality of Katsanohoria, with its seat in Kalentzi while previously, it was a settlement of the community of Fortosi, which consisted of the settlements of Kostitsi, Nistora, Patero and Fortosi.[2][3]

Historical data
Kostitsi was first inhabited sometime in the 17th century. Legend has it that just outside the village, at the location of Lati, there was a large settlement, Latio, which was plagued by plague. Only four brothers named Kostas, Nestoras, Petros and Fotis survived this plague. These four brothers built the villages that still bear their name today, with various corruptions of course, namely "Kostitsi" (Kostas), "Nistora" (Nestoras), "Patero" (Petros) and "Fortosi" (Fotis). The village has kept the name of its founder to this day, with a small parenthesis during which it was also called Kallithea. This name was not given to it by chance, since a short distance from the settlement, there is the chapel of Prophet Elias, with a beautiful view of the Arachthos gorge, Tzoumerka and the pyramid-shaped peak of Strogoula (2,100 m.).
