Kerasia (Κερασέα) Aitoloakarnania

Kerasea or Kerasia is a mountain village in the Regional Unit of Aitoloakarnania with an altitude of 540 meters [1], which is located at a distance of 23 km NW. from Agrinio. It is officially reported as Kerasia in 1835 to be annexed to the then municipality of Efyra. In 1940 the name of the settlement was changed to Keraseas [2]. According to the Kallikratis program, together with Malevros, Paleokarya and Paleokearasia, they constitute the local community of Kerasseas, which belongs to the municipal unit of Panaitolikos of the municipality of Agrinio and according to the 2011 census has a population of 81 inhabitants.
