Its residents are engaged in agriculture, livestock farming, beekeeping and chestnut cultivation.[4] It was first officially mentioned as a separate settlement in 1940, being registered in the then community of Raptopoulos.[5] According to the Kallikratis plan, together with Raptopoulos, Itea and Paleochori, it forms the local community of Raptopoulos, which belongs to the municipal unit of Aspropotamos of the Municipality of Agrafa and according to the 2011 census has a population of 112 residents.[6]
