Kato Koudouni (Κάτω Κουδούνι) Aitoloakarnania
Kato Koudouni, officially Kato Koudounion, is a semi-mountainous village in the prefecture of Aitoloakarnania at an altitude of 180 meters[2], which is located south of Mount Arakynthos (Zygos) at a distance of 18 km. northeast of Messolonghi (via Agios Georgios). As a settlement, it is included in the Greek censuses since 1908 as part of the then Municipality of Messolonghi.[3] According to the Kallikratis program, together with Ano Koudouni, and Melikinaeika form the local community of Ano Koudouni, which falls under the municipal unit of the Holy City of Messolonghi of the municipality of the Holy City of Messolonghi and according to the 2011 census has a population of 5 inhabitants.[4]
