Later, the settlement was annexed to the Municipality of Nonakris and on August 28, 1912, with the abolition of Municipalities and the establishment of Communities, Karousi was annexed to the Community of Mikros Pontias. On December 4, 1997, with the Kapodistrias Plan, the Community was incorporated into the Municipality of Kalavryta.
