Geography - History

Kanalia is located on the western slopes of Mount Goulinas at an altitude of 650 meters. It is 20 km. E.-SE. from Spercheiada (seat of the municipality) and 49 km. W. from Lamia. West of the village passes the Rustianitis stream which ends further north in the Sperchios River while next to and to the north is Kato Kanalia.
