Kalamaki (Καλαμάκι) Andros
Kalamaki is a settlement in Andros and the South Aegean.[2]
General information
Kalamaki is located in the central part of the island and its western coast, at an altitude of 160 meters.[3] It is approximately 14 km. SE. from Gavrio (the island's port) and 21 km. W. from Chora (seat of the municipality - via Arni). To the east of the village are Agia Eleousa and Palaiopoli while to the north is Koutsi. It is officially mentioned for the first time as a separate settlement in 1951, being registered in the community of Aprovato.[4] According to the Kallikratis plan and its amendment by Kleisthenis I, together with Ano Aprovatou, Alikandros and Koutsi, they constitute the community of Aprovatou[5] which falls under the Municipal Unit of Ydrousa of the Municipality of Andros, while according to the 2021 census it has 28 residents[6].
