Georgios Karaiskakis (Γεώργιος Καραϊσκάκης) Karditsa
Georgios Karaiskakis is a settlement in Thessaly and the Regional Unit of Karditsa.[1]
General information
Georgios Karaiskakis is located near the northern borders with the Regional Unit of Trikala at an altitude of 170 meters[1] and is built on the east bank of the Pamisos River that separates it from Mouzaki while next to it and to the east is Mavrommati. It is approximately 27 km. W.-NW. from Karditsa. It is mentioned as a separate settlement for the first time in 1971 to be registered in the community of Mavrommati.[2] According to the "Kallikratis" Program, together with Mavrommati and the Monastery of Agios Georgios, they constitute the community of Mavrommati[3] which falls under the municipal unit of Mouzaki of the Municipality of Mouzaki, while according to the 2011 census, 394 residents were registered.[4] The population censuses are:
