Galaros (Γάλαρος) Achaia
Galaros (or Galaro) is a village located approximately 45 kilometers southwest of Patras.
It is part of the Local Community of Agia Varvara and since 2010 belongs to the Municipality of Erymanthos. It is surrounded by mountains and hills. Its residents are engaged in livestock farming, agriculture, and viticulture. The village is built horizontally on the mountain. The village celebrates Saint George in honor of the village church. There is a cafe in the village, while one should not miss visiting the chapel of Profitis Ilias, especially on May Day. It also has a river that flows abundantly in winter and dries up in summer.
