Fteri (Φτέρη) Trikala
Fteri is a very small settlement in the Municipality of Pyli in Thessaly and the Regional Unit of Trikala.[1][2]
General information
Fteri is located on the western borders of the Region of Thessaly with Epirus, near and north of the Acheloos River, on the eastern slopes of Tzoumerka at an altitude of 660 meters[3]. It is approximately 84 km. W.-S.W. from Trikala, 67 km. W.-S.W. from Pyli (seat of the municipality) and just 1 km. E.-SE. from Myrofyllo (considered a settlement of it[1]).
It is mentioned as a separate settlement for the first time in 1981, being registered in the then community of Myrofyllo. According to the Kallikratis program, together with Agios Georgios, Golfari, Glistra, Karavdaika, Bournias, Myrofyllos, Pyrgos and Milotopos, they constitute the community of Myrofyllos[4] which falls under the Municipal Unit of Myrofyllos of the Municipality of Pyli and according to the 2011 census, 7 residents were registered[5].
