Chinka (Χίνκα) Ioannina
Chinka is a village in the Prefecture of Ioannina.[1] It belongs administratively to the Municipality of Zitsa and geographically to the region of Douskara. Livestock farming is the main activity of the few inhabitants, 37 according to the 2011 census[2] and 87 according to the 2001 census. It was officially mentioned as a settlement after the liberation of Epirus in 1919 in the Government Gazette 184A - 19/08/1919, written Chinka (Χήνκα ) being designated as the seat of the newly founded community of the same name. In 1940 its name was corrected to Chinka (Χίνκα).[3]
