Agios Stefanos (Άγιος Στέφανος) Arta
Agios Stefanos is a settlement in the local community of Palaiokatouno, in the municipal unit (former municipality) of Athamania, in the municipality of Central Tzoumerka, in the regional unit (former prefecture) of Arta, in the region of Epirus, according to the Kallikratis program.[1][2] Before the Kapodistrias plan and the Kallikratis program, it belonged to the province and prefecture of Arta, in the geographical department of Epirus.[3][4]
Geography
Agios Stefanos is a semi-mountainous settlement in the north-central part of the prefecture of Arta. It is located near the southern foothills of Tzoumerka and on the eastern bank of the Sarantaporos River, at an average elevation of 400. It is approximately 52 km NE of Arta.[3][4][5]

Administrative changes until "Kallikratis"
The settlement was recognized in 1981 and was annexed to the community of Paleokatouno in the prefecture of Arta. With the Government Gazette 244A - 04/12/1997 it was detached from the community of Paleokatouno and annexed to the municipality of Athamania. With the Government Gazette 87A - 07/06/2010 it was detached from the municipality of Athamania and annexed to the municipality of Kentrika Tzoumerka.[2]
