Agioi Anargyroi (Άγιοι Ανάργυροι) Argolida
Agioi Anargyroi is a settlement in the municipality of Ermionida[1], Argolida, Peloponnese.
General information
Agioi Anargyroi owes its name to the homonymous nunnery located there.[2] The settlement was recognized in 2001 and includes the former settlements of Kouverta and Kineta, which were abolished the same year.[1] Its population according to the 2021 census[3] is 98 inhabitants, while according to the 2011 census it was 193[4]. Agioi Anargyroi is located south of Ermioni on the peninsula that ends at Cape Mouzaki (the ancient Vouporthmos) at an altitude of 18 meters[5]. The area is coastal and has many beautiful beaches and coves, for which reason there is a significant tourist infrastructure with many rooms to rent and three large hotels.
Population
The column below records the populations of the destroyed settlements of Kineta and Moni Agioi Anargyron, which pre-existed the present settlement, before 2001. The population was increasing until 1971, but has since stabilized, albeit with significant fluctuations.
