Greek salad (Greek : Χωριάτικη σαλάτα) is a salad characterized by ingredients common in the Mediterranean and particularly in Greece. In Greece, it is called χωριάτικη σαλάτα IPA [xor'ʝatiki sa'lata] 'village salad'.

Greek salad is normally made of sliced or chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and green peppers garnished with a slice of feta cheese, olives (usually Kalamata-type), and a pinch of dried oregano. In Greece, olive oil is usually added, with cruets of olive oil and vinegar also available on the table. It is common to mop up the juices of the salad with bread.

In North America, lettuce is often the main component of the salad, though this is never seen in Greece. It is often served pre-dressed with a so-called "Greek dressing", a mixture of oil, vinegar, and herbs. In the restaurants of Tarpon Springs, Florida, which a sponge diving and fishing village with a large population of Greek immigrants, "original" Greek Salad does contain lettuce, but the entire salad is built around a central serving of potato salad. This is considered a separate dish from Horiatki or village salad, which has neither lettuce nor potato.
