Chrysiliou (Greek : Χρυσηλιού) is a settlement of Morphou in the Nicosia District of Cyprus.

After the Turkish invasion of 1974, the administrative area of the district and the Municipality of Morphou in general is not controlled by the Republic of Cyprus.

Location

To the west it borders with Agios Georgios, to the south with Agia Paraskevi, to the southeast with Argaki, to the east with Kyra and to the north with Kalo Chorio Kapouti.

Population

Chrysiliou appears in the population censuses until 1960. In the 1973 census it is not listed separately but as part of the Municipality of Morphou.

Until 1974, Chrysiliou was inhabited only by Greek Cypriots. After the occupation of the district by the Turkish troops in August 1974, its inhabitants fled to the southern part of Cyprus. Turkish Cypriot refugees settled in Chrysiliou, mainly from Kato Polemidia.
