Jacob Scheiner (born February 22, 1820 Sohlbach (Siegen), † December 8, 1911 in Potsdam) was a German painter. Jacob Scheiner grew up in the remote village and began training in 1835 a surveying office in Siegen. In 1845 he founded the "Lithographic Institute J. Scheiner & Comp." in Siegen, which he gave up in 1854 .
