Ο Σαμουήλ Ιωσήφ Άγκνον (Shmuel Yosef Agnon, 17 Ιουλίου 1888 – 17 Φεβρουαρίου 1970)[2] ήταν βραβευμένος με Νόμπελ Λογοτεχνίας Ισραηλινός συγγραφέας και ανανεωτής της εβραϊκής γλώσσας.[3]
Ξεκίνησε να γράφει, νεαρός ακόμα, ποιήματα και διηγήματα στα εβραϊκά. Το 1912 έκανε την πρώτη του δημοσίευση, το μυθιστόρημα Και το άδικο θα γίνει δίκαιο, στο οποίο περιγράφει από τις αρχές του τον εβραϊκό κόσμο. Το 1966 μοιράστηκε το Νόμπελ Λογοτεχνίας με τη Νέλλυ Ζαχς.[3]
