Plato was a Greco-Bactrian king who reigned for a short time around 166 BC in Bactria or the Paropamisadae. The style of Plato's coins suggests that he was a relative - most likely a brother - of Eucratides the Great, whose rise to power is dated to around 170 BC.

Plato probably acted as a co-regent for his brother. Some of his coins are dated, using the Seleucid era, a unique feature which supports the hypothesis that Eucratides was an ally of the Seleucid kings - possibly even related to them. His epithet Epiphanes is also borrowed from Antiochus IV Epiphanes, the Seleucid king at that time.
