Dodecanese Rhodos, Greece

Trianta (Greek: Τριάντα, lit. "Thirty"; also translit. Trianda) is the second-largest town on the island of Rhodes (Rhodos) in Greece. It has a population of approximately 12,000, and is around 8 km from the town of Rhodes, the island's capital, on the road that follows the island's west coast towards the airport.

The town is near the site of the ancient Doric city of Ialyssos or Ialysos, and that name is sometimes used for the modern town as well.

Until the mid-1980s it was a small village with a population of around 2,500 people, but during the following years population grew to about 20,000, as Trianta became the prime destination for those wishing to leave the growing Rhodes City. The city's population doubles during the summer as there are numerous luxury hotels situated in Trianta.
