Omorfokklisia (formerly called Kallista or Gkalista) is a mountainous settlement of the Municipality of Kastoria in the Region of Western Macedonia (Kallikratis Program). From 1999 to 2010, according to the then administrative division of Greece, it belonged to the Municipality of Agia Triada [1]. It is located southwest of the city of Kastoria at an altitude of 800 meters and at a distance of 21 km from the city of Kastoria and according to the 2011 census had a population of 23 inhabitants [2], while in 2001 47 inhabitants.

The Church of Agios Georgios

It is known for its church and the unique one-piece wooden relief of Agios Georgios that adorns it about 3 meters high of the 13th century. His overbearing masterpiece inscription mentions the year 1286/87 when the Archon Nedzades "Andronikos, Nikiforos and Ioannis" undertook the costs of the reconstruction during the years of the emperor Andronikos II Palaiologos [3] Mavriotissa. [4] It has been declared, together with the nearby monastery of Tsamkas Brigadiers, as a historic monument since 1924. [5]

During the Macedonian struggle, the Galistians distinguished themselves in an offer, such as the chief Melios Giannousis.
