Neo Dermati (Νέο Δερμάτι) Evrytania

Neo Dermati is a village in the prefecture of Evritania [1] which is located on the west bank of Karpenissiotis and on the provincial road Karpenisi - Prousou - Kallithea. The village is 11 km SW. from Karpenisi and 19 km NE. from Prousos [2]. The settlement was founded by residents of Dermati who due to the inaccessibility and roughness of the area moved to the neighboring Neo Mikro Chorio. It was first recognized in 1991 and annexed to the then Great Village community. According to the Kallikratis plan, together with Megalo Chorio and Gavro, they constitute the local community of Megalo Chorio, which belongs to the municipal unit of Potamia of the Municipality of Karpenisi and according to the 2011 census has a population of 30 inhabitants [4].
