Koroneia (Κορώνεια) is a village and a former municipality in Boeotia, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Livadeia, of which it is a municipal unit.[1] Population 4,625 (2001). The main village of the municipal unit is Agios Georgios.
History
In 394 BCE a battle was fought here, in which a force of Spartans and their allies under King Agesilaus II defeated a force of Thebans and Argives.
