Ftelia, Aitoloakarnania

Ftelia is a semi-mountainous village in the Regional Unit of Aitoloakarnania at an altitude of 360 meters [1].

Geography - History

Ftelia is located to the northern borders with the Regional Unit of Evrytania and the Regional Unit of Arta, at a distance of 43 km NE. of Amfilochia and 52.5 km SE. from Arta. It is built east of the Inachos river and north of Empesos, on the road to the monastery of St. Thomas. In 1981 he reportedly belonged to the then community of Empesos. According to the Kallikratis plan, together with Empesos, Skatzokambos, Grammatsouli and Sykea, they constitute the Local Community of Empesos, which belongs to the Municipal Unit of Inachos of the Municipality of Amfilochia and according to the 2011 census has a population of 8 inhabitants.
