Elliniko, Aitoloakarnania

Elliniko is a semi-mountainous village in the Regional Unit of Aitoloakarnania with an altitude of 350 meters [1], which is located at a distance of 14.5 km NE. from Agrinio and west of the Ermitsa torrent. In 1928 it was officially mentioned as a settlement with the name Ellinikos being recorded in the then community of Skouteras and in 1940 it was abolished. In 1971 he was reportedly re-enlisted in the Skoutera community as a Greek. According to the Kallikratis program, together with Skoutera, Varkoulia, Zevgaraki, Kakava, Limni and Stamatogiannaika, they constitute the local community of Skoutera, which belongs to the municipal unit of Panaitolikos in the municipality of Agrinio and according to the 2011 census has 30 permanent residents [3 ].
