Imathia



Anthemia (Greek: Ανθέμια) is a former municipality in Imathia, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Naousa, of which it is a municipal unit.[1] Population 8,147 (2001). The seat of the municipality was in Kopanos.

The municipality is divided in

Polla Nera

Polla Nera ("Many Waters") , at 150 m, is 26 km from Veroia. The population, mainly farmers , was formed by refugees from Sevastia in Pontos. It was called Fetista before 1928.

Population History: 1940: 208, 1951: 217, 1961: 254, 1971: 169, 1981: 185, 1991: 163, 2001: 154.

Distances: Veroia (14 km), Naoussa (11 km), Agios Georgios (2km), Kopanos (3.5 km), Chariessa (3.5 km)

The population is farmers. A part originate from 1922 refuges from East-Roumelia and Asia Minor.

Church: Agios Nikolaos and Agias Mavras (since 1850?)
