The Germasogeia Dam is constructed at the northern limits of the City Germasogeia 4km away from the coastal area on the river Amathos.
It was built in 1968 on land belonging to the Municipality Germasogeia and Akrount and Foinikaria communities to support agricultural activity and water supply systems of the region.

The dam is earthfill type and its height is 49 meters.
The area saving water is 110 hectares and can store 13.5 million cubic meters of water.
